The Cuddly Home – April with Rainbow Paws Rescue
The idea is simple yet profound:
animals are not just companions… they are family.
From this idea, Coccolosi Pets was born, a space dedicated to the comfort and happiness of our four-legged friends. But over time, something bigger also emerged: Rainbow Paws Rescue, a small project for the care and protection of stray animals in need of a second chance.
Every purchase in our shop helps this mission.
A small gesture for your pet that turns into concrete help for those still living on the streets.
Shyamah's Cat House
Shyamah's Cat House is truly a special little home.
A mini villa with a garden that hosts a community of 23 cats, some rescued from the streets, others found hungry or injured, and still others arriving as kittens looking for a refuge.
Among them are also three expectant mothers, who will soon bring new life into this small feline family.
Here, cats can finally live in safety, rest in the sun, play, and feel protected. It's not just a shelter: it's a home full of purrs.
What we managed to do this month
Thanks to donations received and purchases made in the Coccolosi store, April was an important month.
We were able to support:
• 3 female cats with sterilization and vaccination
• 1 male cat with sterilization
Essential interventions to protect their health and prevent new births on the streets.
But that's not all.
We also managed to cover the rent for the mini villa that houses the cats and to purchase 6 bags of kibble, a quantity that allows us to feed the entire colony for about a month.
Every small contribution thus becomes part of something very concrete: food, care, and security.
Gestures that make a home more welcoming
This month we also received some material donations that made the cat house even more comfortable.
These included:
- towels
- soft flannel blankets
- plants to decorate the garden
Small gestures that transform a simple space into a warm and welcoming place for our little guests.
The person who makes it all possible
Behind this house full of cats there is a special person: Shyamah.
Shyamah is a woman from Sri Lanka who has chosen to dedicate her time to taking care of our 23 cats full-time.
Every day she feeds them, observes them, protects them, and ensures they always have a clean and safe environment.
Her work is precious and full of love.
Thanks to her, this house is not just a shelter… it is a true family for the tender Coccolosi.
Rainbow Paws Rescue is growing
While the cat project continues to grow for the cat house, Rainbow Paws Rescue is also beginning to expand into India, where we are helping some stray dogs.
Currently, we are following 6 dogs, including a small puppy who has just started his new life away from the streets.
It's just the beginning, but every step reminds us that even a small gesture can change a life.
