Who Are We?

We are a small private group of animal lovers united by one very simple thing: we cannot look away when an animal needs help.

We are not a large organization and we do not have official facilities. We are ordinary people who, every day, try to make a difference for the cats and dogs they encounter: abandoned, injured, hungry, or simply invisible to the world's eyes.

We deal with rescues, veterinary care, sterilizations, food, temporary shelters, and daily assistance. We often collaborate with other private individuals who, like us, try to save lives with the resources they have.

Behind many of the stories we share — like Manu's or Sugar's — there is a network of people helping each other.

I am Silvia, and I am personally involved in this commitment.
I participate in rescues when necessary and also handle much of the behind-the-scenes work: coordinating support, organizing aid, monitoring veterinary expenses, managing care, and maintaining communication with those who support us.

To concretely contribute to this effort, I also created Coccolosi Pets, a small store dedicated to animals. Part of the work and energy I put into this project also helps to support the food, veterinary care, and daily needs of the animals we help.

Alongside me is Shyamah, a mother from Sri Lanka who works full-time in the Coccolosi home.
She is often the first to see cats in distress, feeding them, observing them, and taking care of them every day. Many small ones, like Manu, were saved precisely thanks to her attention and big heart.

Together, in our small way, we try to create a safe place for animals that have no one.

Our work stems from a very simple belief:
every life counts.

And even though we are just a small private group, we believe that a bowl of food, a safe room, a vet visit, or a helping hand can completely change an animal's destiny.

This is what guides us every day.
With care, responsibility… and so much love. 🐾
